The session aims at discussing present and futures for AI, especially machine learning, in the legal sector. The discussion will address state of the art current applications of AI to research, analyse and apply law and regulations. The discussion will then focus on the futures for judges, lawyers and clients in particular areas of law where AI is changing legal information processing, decision-making and even law-making. Eventually, the discussion will consider the potential impacts of AI laws and regulations on legal professions.
